How Do You Receive Service?
Contact the office and an assessment will be undertaken to assess if you are eligible to use the service. Once assessed as eligible you will be registered to use the service straight away. As we are not an emergency service, we need to have at least 3 working days notice, availability is not guaranteed. We advise you to book transport as soon as you have an appointment, as this will assist us in finding a volunteer driver.
Please note: there are some types of medical appointments that we may not be able to assist you with, so please let staff know what your circumstances are when you ring to book in your appointment eg Procedure using full anaesthetic.
What does it cost?
Clients are expected to make a contribution towards the cost of the Transport services. Both the Individual and Group Transport service are subsidised and the contribution is used to provide increased services.
